1,2,3,Scrap! in April!

It's April 15, and time for our little mid-month blog hop to inspire us to get over any mid-month creative bumps with Betsy and Tracey.  Tracey challenged us to use the Message Secured card pattern from Jeanette Lynton's Originals how to book that has a closure flap!  I created one in the specified 5"X7" card and then altered it to the usual 4.25"X5.5" card.  Finally, on a creative roll, I rebelled and made a card that didn't use the pattern!  These cards are lots of fun and felt "spring" to me.  I loved using the trendy hot air balloon from the April Stamp of the Month and the Fashionista Stamp Set.  

For this first card, the ties behind the clouds open and the flap under the balloon reveals the full sunshine.  This card is modified to 4.25" X 5.5" from the 5"X7" showed in the Originals book.

 This card is a full 5"X7" as shown in the pattern.  You can see this car with the flap opened.  I added a small piece of paper to allow the ribbon to slide in and out of the flap so the card can be easily opened.
