I made a couple of very quickie birthday cards yesterday. March is a busy month in our family for birthdays. Yesterday was my brother's 55th, which we celebrated with family and his closest friends at a great little Italian restaurant over near the University of Washington. Yummmy food, good conversation, and generally a nice relaxing time by all. He was surprised to see such a great group gathered to honor him. :)
Here are the card I made, both inspired by Pinterest (I seriously do not know what I would do without Pinterest!)
Drop by with any questions! All materials used in the cards are available through Close to My Heart in the current Idea Book.
My small space in the world where I share my passions for family, scrapping, stamping, traveling, stamping, and life.

Frosted on the Paper Trail
I love this paper. If you have arrived here from Betsy's blog, you are on the Paper Trail Blog Hop. This month we are featuring the lovely, cool Frosted from Close to My Heart. The paper combines cool blues and greys with the softness of off white. I used the pattern/layout, colors, and ideas featured in the Workshop on the Go paper pack and then added Ponderosa Pine to give the layout a more nature look and less Christmassy feel. I loved how you can use the layout included in the kit as an inspiration to jump into your own ideas. Continue to "hop" along the trail and head over to Tracey's Blog for more Frosted creativeness!
