Happy Birthday, Sister!

I've been seeing these little box pop-up cards all over the place!  So, for my sister's birthday tomorrow, I quickly made one from Close to My Heart's Jubilee paper pack.  I can officially say I've actually used every paper pack that Close to My Heart carried from July 2103 to July 2014!  Now time to clean out the studio and make room for new papers, colors, inks, embellishments, and more.

Birthday Keep Coming!

I made a couple of very quickie birthday cards yesterday.  March is a busy month in our family for birthdays.  Yesterday was my brother's 55th, which we celebrated with family and his closest friends at a great little Italian restaurant over near the University of Washington.  Yummmy food, good conversation, and generally a nice relaxing time by all.  He was surprised to see such a great group gathered to honor him.  :)

Oscar Night Fun!!!

We have a tradition with a small group of friends taking turn hosting Oscar Night.  This year was our turn.  Decided on a red carpet theme, invitational tickets, banners, and Asian food.  What a blast!  I sent out these tickets to our guests:

And we had a banner for the fireplace:

Wonderful Asian food and a red carpet entrance for everyone, complete with the flashing cameras!

We had so much fun!  I'd recommend anyone to try party themes and add your personal touches like homemade invites, banners, and red carpets!  And until next year, my Oscar Friends........
